Why a Canadian address helps

FINTRAC's registration asks for the locations you operate from, and Canadian banks, payment partners and customers look for a Canadian presence. A Canadian business address gives your setup a stable Canadian base from the start.

An address isn't the same as a representative for service

A foreign MSB registering with FINTRAC must also name a representative for service: a person who lives in Canada and can accept notices on its behalf. That's a separate requirement from your address. If you need help with it, raise it in your consultation and we'll explain the options.

Is the address my representative for service?

No. A foreign MSB's representative for service is a person living in Canada, which is a separate requirement. Ask us about it in your consultation.
