Timings are general guides from our experience, not guarantees. Registration decisions are made by FINTRAC and the Bank of Canada and depend on how complete an application is and on their workload.

  • FINTRAC doesn't charge a fee to register a money services business.
  • Incorporation government fees are separate: currently CA$200 federally online, or CA$300 in Ontario online.
  • The Bank of Canada charges RPAA applicants a one-time, non-refundable application fee, currently CA$2,500 and adjusted each year, paid directly to the Bank. Registered PSPs also pay the Bank annual assessment fees.
  • Every engagement starts with a consultation and a written scope, so you know the fee before any work begins.
